1. Cleaning step

  • Clean carefully with 70-10
  • Use wipe on, wipe off method

2. Masking

  • To avoid overspray on the door, we recommend to cover the door for the first step

3. Preparation steps

  • Tack cloth clean the area to be painted

4. Mixing of basecoat step 1:

5. Basecoat application step 1

  • Spray gun HVLP or RP 1.3, 2.0 bar
  • Apply first coat
  • Flash off
  • Apply second coat
  • Flash off

6. Demask the door

  • Demask the door carefully

7. Clean the door

  • Clean the door prior to blend-in application
  • Tack cloth clean the door

8. Blend in basecoat :

  • 35- Basecoat         100%
  • 60- Diluter                50%
  • Spray gun HVLP 1.3
  • Reduce pressure between 0.8 and 1.5 bar
  • Blend the wing into the door
  • Flash off

9. Tack cloth door:

  • Tack cloth the overspray on surrounding area

10. Mixing basecoat step 2:

  • 35- Basecoat        100%
  • 60- Diluter               50%

11. Application of pearl effect step 2:

  • Spray gun 1.3 HVLP or RP, 2.0 bar
  • 2 coats with intermediate flash off
  • Then blend in the door until invisible repair
  • Flash off until mat
  • We recommend to make a spray-out prior to paint, for color match control

12. Mist coat

  • Apply mist coat over the repaired area
  • Spray gun distance approx. 30 cm from object
  • Ready for clearcoat application
