Paint Defects
Causes
- Film build too high
- Wrong mixture of hardeners and thinners
- Inappropriate polishing too soon after drying
- Refinish paintwork exposed to harsh conditions too soon
- Insufficient air circulation in the spray booth during drying phase
- Interrupting of baking
Prevention
- Keep to the film builds as recommended
- Respect the recommended mixing ratios
- Respect the recommended film thickness and drying times
- Check the air circulation: replace floor and ceiling filters if necessary
- If in doubt, consult you spray booth manufacturer
How to repair
- Try to polish out the problem with polishing paste, and finish with fine polishing paste
- If this does not restore the gloss, you will have to repaint the affected areas
