1. Cleaning:

  • Clean carefully with 70-45
  • Use wipe on, wipe off method

2. Masking

  • To avoid overspray on the door, we recommand to cover the door for the first step.

  • Tack cloth the area to be painted

5. Basecoat application step 1

  • Spray gun HVLP 1.4, 2.0 bar
  • Apply 1 wet coat
  • Flash off
  • Apply second coat
  • Flash off

6. Demask the door

  • Demask the door carefully

7. Clean the door

  • Clean the door prior to blend in application
  • Tack cloth the door

8. Mixing of blend in clear:

  • 45-W10            100%
  • 45-R45 Diluter 70%

9. Mixing of blend in clear:

  • Spray gun HVLP 1.4, 2.0 bar
  • Apply 1 wet coat 45-W10 on the door
  • Stay away 10 cm of back door
  • No flash off

11. Blend in basecoat:

  • Spray gun HVLP 1.4
  • Reduce pressure between 0.8 and 1.5 bar
  • Blend the wing into the door
  • Flash off

13. Application of pearl effect step 2

  • Spray gun 1.4 HVLP, 2.0 bar
  • 2 wet coats with intermediate flash off
  • then blend in the door
  • Flash off until matt
  • We recommend to make a spray-out prior to paint, for color match controle.

14. Mist coat

  • Apply mist coat over the repaired area
  • Spray gun distance approx. 30 cm from object
  • Ready for clear coat.
