Paint Defects
Causes
- Incorrect spray viscosity
- Incorrect spraying technique, flash off time and film thicknesses
- Defective spray gun, incorrect spray nozzle or spray pressurs
- Temperature of paint, substrate of spray booth too low
- Incorrect choice of hardeners and/or thinners
Prevention
- Follow application recommendations on technical data sheets
- Ensure that paint material is in good condition and equipped met recommended spray nozzle
- Ensure that material and room temperature is up to 20°c/68°F
- Use correct combination of hardeners and thinner as recommended on technical information
How to repair
- Sand and polish
- Sand and repaint whenever it’s not polish able
