Paint Defects
Causes
- Incorrect spraying pressure (too low)
- Paint coats too THIN
- Viscosity too high
- Hardener and thinner not matched to the spraying temperature
- Wrong spraygun set-up
- Sanding of substrate insufficient
Prevention
- Use the spraying techniques appropriate for the paint materials
- Correct pressure
- Correct spray gun
- Correct nozzle set-up
- Use correct application method
- Match the hardener and thinner to the spraying temperature
- Adjust the spray viscosity as specified in the technical data sheets
How to repair
- When the affected area is small, sand with P1200 and polish with polishing paste and fine polishing paste
- When large areas are affected, sand down the surface until level, then repaint
