1. Tinting chart
- The baslac tinting chart provides a good overview of all mixing bases.
2. baslac Color wheel
- Colors have an their own clear appearance with 3 different elements which help to define it precisely: Hue, Chroma and Value.
3. Three color parameters
- Hue (Color) : changes when moving around the color wheel
Chroma (Cleaner/Dirtier) : changes from center to outwards
Value (Darkness/Lightness) : changes from top to bottom
4. Pictograms
- Pictograms provide information about the features of the main mixing bases:
- Side & Face view
- Color group, Hue
- chroma
- Value
5. Pictograms
- The central color indicates the color group
6. Pictograms
- The color on the left, indicates the deviation of the color group in Face view when keeping the color vertical in front of you.
7. Pictograms
- The color on the right side, indicates the direction of color when keeping the color horizontal in front of you (side view)
8. Pictograms
The color at the top, indicates the shade (value) of the color.
9. Pictograms
- The surround area will indicate if the color is pure, or dirty (chroma)
